Inspiration
Body shaping illusion dresses: Judicious placement of color blocking and use of pattern give the illusion of a different body in the dress than the reality.
Floating Dress: A black band in front of a black background makes the top of this dress appear to float in contrast.
concept
Concept: To create the illusion of forms and shifting forms in a space using the techniques from our inspirational images.
Location: We will create a grouping of columns in the 2nd floor gallery, allowing us to have control over the number of columns used as well as the various vantage points to view the installation.
How It Works: We create a graphic sheath (dress) for each column to wear. Though each column is the same, by turning the columns at different angles, we create a total image which shifts as you move through the room. A wavy pattern on the back wall adds dynamism and added variety of form.
